Neurodivergence-affirming support
For autistic, ADHD and neurodivergent children, teens and families.
Available in St Neots, Cambridgeshire and online.
Neurodivergence is a different way of experiencing and responding to the world.

My work supports neurodivergent children and teens to understand their nervous systems, build regulation skills and feel safer and more resourced in daily life. I also support families to adapt environments and expectations so everyone can thrive.
A neurodivergence-affirming approach
I work from the understanding that autism, ADHD and other neurodivergent profiles are valid and meaningful ways of being.
The focus is not on masking, compliance or behaviour control.
Instead, we work toward:

-
Self-understanding and self-compassion
-
Sensory awareness
-
Emotional resilience
-
Safer home and school environments
Support is always tailored to the individual and paced gently.
How I support neurodivergent children & teens
Every child and young person is different. Some may struggle with overwhelm, shutdown or meltdowns.
Others may feel anxious, misunderstood or exhausted from masking.

Support may include:
Sensory profiling & coaching
Understanding sensory wiring can change everything.

Through Sensory Integration and coaching, we explore your child’s sensory profile and develop practical strategies to reduce overload and increase steadiness.

This can support school life, friendships and home routines.
Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP)
The Safe and Sound Protocol is a listening therapy designed to support the vagus nerve and help the nervous system shift toward safety.

For neurodivergent children and teens, SSP can support:

-
Emotional regulation
-
Sensory sensitivities
-
Social engagement
-
Anxiety
The process is always paced carefully.
Trauma support (when needed)
Some neurodivergent children have also experienced trauma, bullying or prolonged stress.
Where appropriate, I offer Child Accelerated Trauma Therapy within a regulation-focused framework, always guided by readiness and safety.
Supporting parents, carers and families
When a child is overwhelmed, the whole family feels it.

I work with parents/carers to:

-
Understand nervous system patterns
-
Adapt environments and expectations
-
Build co-regulation tools
-
Reduce shame and self-blame
-
Strengthen connection
The aim is not to “manage behaviour,” but to understand what the nervous system is communicating.

For neurodivergent teens
Adolescence can be especially complex for neurodivergent young people.

Masking, identity questions, social stress and academic pressure can all take a toll.

Support for teens may include:
-
Nervous system regulation tools
-
Somatic-informed therapeutic support
-
Emotional processing
-
Building self-advocacy skills
Sessions are collaborative and paced gently.
