Somatic therapy & mind-body coaching

Online and in-person in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

Sometimes talking alone doesn’t reach what the body is holding.

Somatic therapy offers a steady, body-led way to explore patterns that live beneath thoughts and words. It supports adults and teens to reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels safe, contained and manageable.

What is somatic therapy?

Our bodies often carry the weight of experiences that the mind cannot easily process.

Somatic therapy works gently with body awareness, grounding, breath and movement to support healing from the inside out. Rather than analysing everything cognitively, we pay attention to sensation, impulse and nervous system responses.

This work can help with:

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Trauma recovery

  • Emotional overwhelm

  • Shutdown or numbness

  • Repeating relational patterns

  • Feeling disconnected from your body

Each session is shaped around what feels safe for you.

For some, this might be simple awareness practices.
For others, it may include movement, creative expression or breath-based exploration.

There is no fixed formula.

How this differs from nervous system regulation?

While nervous system regulation focuses on stabilisation and practical tools, somatic therapy offers deeper relational work over time.

It creates space to explore how experiences are held in the body and gently shift long-standing patterns.

Both approaches can complement one another. We decide together what feels appropriate.

Mind-body somatic coaching

Alongside therapy, I offer mind-body somatic coaching.

This combines somatic awareness with practical forward-focused coaching. It supports you to process what is stored while also building tools and clarity for daily life.

Together we may work on:

  • Strengthening emotional resilience

  • Building self-regulation practices

  • Improving boundaries and communication

  • Developing sustainable coping tools

  • Supporting life transitions

The focus is not only healing, but integration and growth.

What to expect

Sessions are paced slowly and collaboratively.

You won’t be pushed to revisit experiences before you’re ready. We build safety first.

Some sessions may feel reflective. Others may feel experiential. All are grounded in consent and attunement.

Somatic therapy is available for adults and teens, online and in person in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

Sessions are offered at £100 per session

This work is about reconnecting with your body in a way that feels empowering rather than overwhelming.

If you’re unsure whether somatic therapy or nervous system regulation feels right, we can talk it through.
