Support for children
& families
Neurodivergence-affirming and trauma-trained support for children, teens, parents and carers.
Available in St Neots, Cambridgeshire and online.
When a child is overwhelmed, anxious or struggling, the whole family feels it.
You might be navigating meltdowns, shutdown, school stress, emotional outbursts, or a child who seems constantly on edge. You might feel exhausted, unsure what will help, or worried you’re getting it wrong.

You’re not alone.

My work supports families with steadiness, understanding and practical tools.
Neurodivergent children & teens
I offer neurodivergence-affirming support for autistic and ADHD children and teens.

I can help you understand their nervous system, sensory needs and emotional world so life feels more manageable.

The aim is to build safety, not compliance.
Support may include:

-
Sensory profiling and integration coaching
-
Emotional regulation tools
-
Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
-
Somatic-informed therapeutic support
-
Parent/carer coaching for co-regulation
Sensory overwhelm & regulation
Some children experience the world as intensely bright, loud or unpredictable. Others may seek sensory input in ways that are misunderstood.

Through sensory profiling and coaching, we explore your child’s unique sensory wiring and develop practical strategies that reduce overwhelm and support regulation at home and school.
This can help with:

-
Emotional outbursts
-
Shutdown
-
Anxiety
-
Difficulty focusing
-
Sleep disruption
Trauma support for children
Some children and teens have experienced trauma, bullying, medical stress or prolonged overwhelm.

Where appropriate, I offer Child Accelerated Trauma Therapy (CATT) within a regulation-focused framework.

The focus is on reducing the weight of traumatic memories while strengthening resilience and emotional regulation.
This work is:

-
Structured
-
Gentle
-
Developmentally appropriate
-
Guided by readiness
Supporting parents & carers
Parenting or caring for a child who is struggling can feel isolating.

Often, small shifts in understanding can create big changes at home.

This is not about managing behaviour. It is about understanding what your child’s nervous system is communicating.
I work with parents/carers to:

-
Understand nervous system responses
-
Recognise sensory triggers
-
Adapt environments and expectations
-
Build co-regulation skills
-
Reduce shame and self-blame
